Section 2 – Program Expectations
I understand that

Joining Band/Choir/Orchestra is a full year commitment.Enrolling in B/C/O will remove my student from Encore Rotation (Art, FACS, Gym) B/C/O meets during the school day with minimal extracurricular commitments.Several concerts each year are required as part of the co-curricular nature of Band/Choir/Orchestra and account for a portion of your child’s grade.Band/Choir/Orchestra are all curricular offerings. We ask that students demonstrate behavior, attitude and work ethic that they would in any Core Academic Subject.B/C/O incurs extra fees depending upon the programs being offered by each ensemble each year. Some fees might include uniform purchase, instrument payments, or competition expenses.As a class, the majority of responsibilities when joining an ensemble do not conflict with participation in sports or after-school clubs.

Students that select Choir will be registered for Choir. If they select Choir and any other ensemble but do not acquire an instrument they will be registered for Choir.Band and Orchestra parents must rent or purchase an instrument before those students will be registered for Band or Orchestra.All payments are non-refundable for any other reason after June 1st.
Section 4 – Liability
As the parent or guardian of the child listed above, I request that they be registered in Band, Choir, Orchestra or Encore as indicated. I have read and understand that Highland Middle School’s performing ensembles are co-curricular in nature and my choice of Ensemble or Encore is a full year commitment. I also have read and understand the possible costs associated with Ensemble membership.*
